Recital Scheduling

Click the button below to email your advisor to request you recital scheduling DocHub!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students must initiate the recital scheduling process no later than Friday of week 3 of the term in which they intend to hold the recital OR at least 3 weeks prior to the pre-recital hearing, whichever date comes first. By adhering to this timeline, students can ensure ample time for planning and organizing their recital without any last-minute rush.

1. Review the Recital Policy.

2. Begin by consulting with your applied faculty member to establish the timeline for your recital. Collaborate with them to determine the following:

  • Recital repertoire
  • Committee make up
  • Recital time, date, and location (please refer to the Productions Calendar). You must select two recital dates/time (one as the first choice, the second as back up)
  • Pre-recital time and date (must be 3 weeks prior to the recital dates selected)
  • Optional if faculty member plans to be at attendance: Dress rehearsal times/dates/location (one as the first choice, the second as back up)

3. Check with the other committee members to ensure their availability for the pre-recital hearing date.

4. Once you have received verbal approval from all committee members, contact the appropriate advising office with the following information indicating you wanting to start the scheduling process.

  • Undergraduate Students: Email ugradmus@uoregon.edu with your recital committee names.
  • Graduate Students: Fill out this form: https://blogs.uoregon.edu/gradmus/somd-graduate-recital-scheduling-request/

5. The SOMD Advising Offices will generate a DocHub for you to fill out. Please allow 1-2 business days for processing.

6. It is important to promptly fill out the DocHub form upon receipt to ensure timely processing. Please allow up to 7 business days for the completion of these forms.

Note: The productions team will assign your pre-recital hearing location. On the form, please indicate any specific requirements you have for the space or if you will be conducting the pre-recital hearing in your professor’s office.

DocHub order of signatures:

  • Student
  • Primary faculty member
  • Productions Office
  • Committee member 2
  • Committee member 3

6. After completing the form, the advising office will notify you and your committee with the formal reservation times, dates and locations. It is still your responsibility to ensure the committee is aware of the times, dates, and locations of your pre-recital hearing and recital.

Complete the Information & Arrangements Form at least two weeks before the recital date. Failure to do so may result in the student’s requests not being accommodated. It’s crucial to submit the form on time to guarantee that all recording needs are adequately met for the recital.
